The history of MK4 collects leftovers left so MK3 and MK Mythologies: Sub-Zero. With Shao Kahn defeated, Shinnok assumes as main villain of the film. However, it is also a selectable character that left players without big boss arcade wait. To remedy this, the domestic version contains four armed bad-MK1, Goro. Goro looks great in 3D, very fluid moves, and has all the great movements that had to MK1, and some other additives. You can not start over, but will be available through a password. Returning characters including Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Sonya and Raiden. Most of the old characters retain their old moves, and add a new one here and there. New characters fit nicely in the MK universe, a welcome change from most of the aftermath of battle games.
Graphics N64 version is not as good as the arcade version. This is almost a fact. However, they still look great, make great use of the supply of light, and operate at very high speeds. There are some moments when it gets frame rate, but not enough to cause a problem with the game. The sound is definitely the highlight of the N64. The music sounds very nice, and the game has all the arcade speech, including import and complaints. This is a big surprise, considering the large amount of expression in the game.
The gameplay is very near the arch, but the controller N64 gets in the way. The default setting is simply not very good, but with some changes and some practice, you will become relevant pretty quickly. Some of the deaths in this game is much more difficult to do in the N64 platform because they require you to hit multiple keys simultaneously. The combo system is greatly simplified. Each character can start a combo in the same way, and some of the most devastating moves in previous games (the hook, for example) have weakened. The importation of arms seem silly at first, but once you've played for a while and used to use, which is not actually a new dimension is added to the game. Each character has two dead and two deaths stage.
Deaths look good, but many of them are nothing more than changes in 3D for the deaths of age, and new death MK4 is just so great. It would be nice to see some more innovation here. Some features have been added to the game, including a practice mode, which shows all the movements and deaths of the characters. There are also three types of resistance struggles, a team battle mode and a tournament mode.
