This latest installment takes place in 1992 on the west coast of the state for the San Andreas theme. San Andreas is an island containing three cities. You can start the game in the city of Los Santos, which is based around Los Angeles and consists of a mixture of parts of the ritzy center and gangland ghettos of South Central. San Fierro is based on San Francisco, reproducing a rugged terrain of city real and ever-present fog. third city is Las Venturas game, which is a great take on the top 90 Las Vegas, with a full band casino and the surrounding desert. While one-to-one action in previous games in the series are difficult in practice, San Andreas feels like a place very much larger than Vice City ever did, but at the same time, growth is handled intelligently. There are many things to do both inside and outside the cities, which all real issue of succession does.

Just get out of Los Santos, you should not really worry about gang war for some time, and the game settled into a more GTA-like feel.
